Background

  • CBC (Central America Bottling Corporation). Corporate Internal Audit Director during the growth from 4 to 16 countries, and CFO of the Puerto Rico operation, with about 600 people.
  • Acquisition due diligence. In one acquisition he found about USD 500,000 in machinery that existed on paper but not physically; physical asset verification then became mandatory in the group's acquisitions.
  • Regional business group. Compliance Officer; led the first ISO 37001 anti-bribery certification of a private company in Guatemala.
  • Data analytics in audit. Used large-scale data analysis on SAP to audit first 4 and then 16 countries, long before AI was a buzzword.
  • KPMG Guatemala. Audit of private banking and wealth management in Central America.
